About Us
Lisa Baillargeon garnered an appreciation for design while employed by Macy's Product Development in New York as well as regional jewelers in New England in the 1990's. She credits her passion for design and appreciation for color to her mother Viviane and her late grandmother, Gilberte, both of whom possessed great artistic flair. The designer's love of jewelry began in childhood, exploring her grandmother's extensive vintage jewelry collection.
Each design is handcrafted, one of a kind and represents the designer's goal of wearable art for the client. Put a Twist on the everyday with one of these unique, modern treasures.
Product Care
Twist Jewelry Design employs only sterling silver and 14 K gold-filled wire, chains and findings in its designs. All of the stones utilized in each design are natural and may have small inclusions and/or color variations, which are part of their beauty. Note: Garnet suppliers will sometimes use dye to enhance the color; thus garnet beads should not be exposed to water.
Sterling Silver
Tarnish is caused when air comes into contact with the surface of metal; thus, storing sterling silver jewelry in an air-tight bag will minimize tarnish. A sterling silver polishing cloth can be used to lightly clean the sterling silver components.
14k Gold-Filled
Filled metals are of a higher quality than plated metals, and they are second only to precious metal alloys. They have one or more layers of precious metal alloy mechanically bonded to a base metal, such as brass. Gold Filled metal must be at least 1/20th precious metal by weight.
14k gold-filled designs will also benefit from being stored in an air-tight bag but should not be cleaned with a sterling silver polishing cloth.
Pearls
My favorite pearl importer, Stachura, has a great saying: "pearls should be the last on and first off." Contact with perfumes, hairspray, and lotions will all reduce the natural luster of pearls. To clean pearls, wipe them gently with a damp soft cloth and allow to air dry.

Product Measurements
All measurements are approximate. Necklace measurements include the clasp. Earwires are measured from the midpoint of the curve of the wire. Earposts are measured from the top of the earpost.
